Reel Mower Sharpening Kit for Brill Razorcut 38 Mower
We have many great accessories for push reel mowers.
Sharpening your reel mower now and then is a necessity. The result is a cleaner cut, and therefore a healthier lawn.
This particular sharpening kit is made specifically for the Brill Razorcut 38 push reel mower by a company in the United Kingdom. The sharpening kit also works perfectly for the Brill Luxus 38 reel mower. It installs easily, is simple to use, and will sharpen your blades quickly.
The sharpening kit for the Brill reel mower comes in two parts: a backstop, and self adhesive pads for sharpening (3 pads are included within the order). When installing, you will find two screw clamps located on the backstop. These attach easily to the bottom plate of the mower. Once the backstop has been attached properly, the blades will make contact with the abrasive strip.
To sharpen the mower, simply push it around. As the blades brush against the abrasive strip, dings, rust, or any other problem areas will disappear. There will be minor resistance at first, but as the blades sharpen, pushing the mower will become increasingly easier.
There are no sharp edges to the kit itself, which makes handling easy. However, please remember to use caution when near the blades of the Brill reel mower. Even if they are dull, there's always the off chance you may get nicked by a blade. A good pair of gloves should do the trick.
As a result of properly keeping your blades sharpened, you will have a well manicured lawn. Your grass will be healthier and smoother, and will be the envy of your neighbors.
Need some extra abrasive strips? Don't forget to add them to your order - they come in orders of 2!
Works great, and easy to use

Simple to set up, with excellent, clear instructions. It got my 18 year old Brill mower sharp like new again. My lawn looks like a golf green. It takes a little fiddling to get everything adjusted correctly so it sharpens correctly, but it’s not difficult. The attachment clamps are plastic, which is a bit cheap, but they work fine.
