What kind of manure is it safe to compost?
If you stick to composting manure from herbivores like horses, sheep and cows and rabbits, you'll be okay. Chicken manure can also work.
But composting the feces of carnivores and omnivores like dogs and cats is problematic, because they can have a lot of dangerous pathogens.
So stick to herbivores if you plan to compost manure.
There are other ways to compost dog poop. The type of composter where you bury the bottom into the ground and use enzymes to break it down will work. You would never want to use this material in a vegetable garden, however.
