What could be more environmentally friendly than this? Better still, you will end up with some of the
best compost or organic soil amendment you could ever dream of.
When you order the Cedar Red Worm Vermicomposter, it
arrives in a flat pack and you will then assemble it according to very specific instructions. We were very impressed with the
instructional DVD, which you can order as an optional extra, because it has
extremely clear instructions that show exactly how to assemble the unit. You don’t need any special tools to put it together. Once assembled, the red worm composter will measure 48 inches x 24 inches and it will be 21 inches tall.
This vermicomposter is also equipped with a
dual chamber that allows you to compost in batches.
As the name suggests, the cedar vermicomposter is basically a bin or box that is made out of renewable cedar wood. The box doesn't have a floor or bottom, so it allows any
excess moisture to drain out naturally into the soil. The cedar wood keeps the worms cool and comfortable.
