Turn scrap wood or lumber into a raised bed planter with this easy to assemble Raised Bed Staking Kit. It includes brackets that will quickly turn any area into an elevated garden.

The Raised Garden Kit by Scout Regalia includes corner brackets and screws that you can use to build a custom raised bed planter. It works with any size that you want to use, which can come in handy if you have an unusual sized area where other raised beds wont fit.

You can build a lopsided rectangle or a square bed, and use wood that matches the location. If you prefer pine, cedar, redwood, or just about any other wood that will hold a screw, then this build-your-own planter will work.

The brackets double as stakes, fixing your planter in place and preventing erosion or undermining. They will also help hold the planter in place in high winds, and reduce shifting from animals or root action.

Your kit includes:
  • 4 corner brackets
  • 2 middle brackets
  • 40 stainless steel screws
  • An Instruction Guide

  • Raised bed gardens have several benefits over other gardens. They offer increased control over drainage and protection against root incursion. If the soil in your area is poor, contaminated with toxins or bacteria, or prone to weed infestation, a raised be planter can be the perfect solution. Raised beds also protect against some animals and they draw attention more than flat areas in your yard.

The ready to assemble Raised Bed Kit is perfect for a square foot gardening, planting flowers, starting shrubs, filling the floor of a greenhouse, or even building a sandbox.

This kit provides the steel framework for building your raised bed. All you’ll need is the lumber, a power drill/screwdriver, and your bed soil mix. The kit comes with well-written, simple intructions and diagrams and a photo of what your finished bed might look like. I built mine (4 x 8) in an a couple of hours which included hand sawing two 2 X 6 X 8 boards, digging and leveling the ground, and shoveling in the compost/top soil mix (~25 cubic feet). The result is an attractive raised bed ready for planting.
