Green Snow Peas

Snow peas are a snappy, flavorful vegetable loaded with health benefits. They are typically available in late winter and early spring, but you can enjoy them year round with an indoor planter. They are an excellent topper for salads, and are used in many Asian dishes and stir fry.

A half cup of snowpeas contains approximately 55 calories and 3.6 grams of protein. They are high in fiber and low in fat, plus they contain more than 20% of the recommended daily amounts of Vitamin C and Vitamin A. Snow peas are rich in flavonoids that help reduce inflammation and asthma.

Crunchy Bean Mix

This blend includes green peas, garbanzo beans, red and green lentils. This mix of legumes covers a lot of bases - they can be used for vegetable soup, cooked with rice, served on salads, or ground into paste for spreads.

Green lentils and Red lentils are widely used in Indian cuisine - puréed Lentils are called dhal. A half cup of lentils contains 115 calories and 8.9 grams of protein. They are very high in fiber and low in fat. Lentils also contain elevated levels of iron, potassium, folate, and niacin. They are recommended for vegetarians who need to supplement their diet with additional iron and protein.

Mung Beans are also known as Indian green beans, moong, mash bean, munggo or monggo, green gram, golden gram, and green soy. Starch from these beans is also used to make certain Chinese and Vietnamese dishes (such as the wrapping of Spring rolls).

A half cup of Mung Beans has 106 calories and 7.1 grams of protein. Mung Beans are a low fat, high fiber food, with excellent levels of folate, thiamin, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium. Unlike other beans, Mung Beans are gentle on the stomach and recommended for treating indigestion.

Salad Garden Mix

Start your own salad bar with this mix of Golden Alfalfa, Red Clover, Chinese Cabbage, and Daikon Radish. These colorful greens offer a complete meal, or can be used as burger toppers, garnishes, and natural floss. Eating garden greens after a meal helps freshen breath and prevent stomach ache.

Golden Alfalfa and Red Clover are very light and filling veggies that helps with weight loss and bulks up dishes. A half cup has only 5 calories and less than 1g of protein. Sprouted Alfalfa and Sprouted Clover have small amounts of many trace elements, including Phosphorous, Magnesium, and Zinc. It also has Calcium, Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Panthothenic Acid, Vitamin C, and Iron.

A half cup of Chinese Cabbage has only 10 calories and 1.3 g of protein. It has almost no fat, and has moderate amounts of fiber. Chinese Cabbage is also known as Napa, celery cabbage, pe-tsai, hakusai, wong bok, and Peking cabbage. It is typically eaten raw, but can also be steamed or boiled.

Daikon Radishes are a low calorie appetite suppressant. 1/2 cup of sliced Daikon radishes has only 12 calories and less than 1 g of protein. Radishes are an excellent source of Vitamin C, Potassium, Folate, and Magnesium.
