The Easy Composter has a simple rotating mechanism that promotes aeration and breaks up clumps. The barrel in this composter sits on a tracked base so that it can spin in place. This tumbling composter action helps blend air into the compost and promotes high energy aerobic bacteria.
Fast acting bacteria will help break down the scraps faster than a non-tumbling composter, without the need for getting your hands dirty or throwing out your back with a pitchfork. The fastest decomposers work at high temperatures, and this self-insulated dark composter is designed to soak up energy from sunlight

The grips on the sides offer excellent traction, even if the composter is covered in dew or your hands are wet. There are also aeration holes at the ends that allow fresh air in and excess moisture out.Technical details

The 53 gallon size can be misleading. As organic waste breaks down, it shrinks. Fresh grass trimmings, potato peels, and apple cores shrivel up as their moisture evaporates. Compost bacteria also convert sugars and carbohydrates into heat, shrinking the compost even more. When composting is finished, the scraps will take up 50 to 75% less volume!
At any time during the composting process, you can add fresh scraps and keep the composter working at high temperatures. When your compost is nearing completion, it's important to stop adding new material for a while. That way, the finished compost wont have any unfinished scraps mixed in with it.

When the compost is finished breaking down...
Finished compost (aka humus) makes great fertilizer or fill dirt. The round body of the composter also makes it a snap to empty out. There's no need to lift and carry the full keg of soil - instead, just roll it off the base and tumble it to wherever fertilizer is needed!
