These recycled mats are pretty sweet. They come in a variety of different colors. Because the manufacturer is always getting in different colored rope, the colors available are constantly changing. For this reason, the color can't be chosen. Don't worry, though, the colors are cool, and each mat is totally unique. The guy that makes them probably knows some real, live lobsters, so I wouldn't want to be picky and mess with him anyway. I don't want to end up at the bottom of the ocean, so you should just order one already before things get fishy.

These Recycled Door Mats are made from lobster fishing line. The woven mats are extremely durable, and by choosing one you can help protect the ocean from dumping.

There are millions of feet of lobster rope in need of recycling. These ropes were used to connect lobster cages with buoys, but the practice has been discontinued in order to protect Atlantic Right Whales. Turning these mountains of Lobster Cordage into welcome gives this unwanted material a second life and also saves the environment from the impact of producing a rubber doormat.

These doormats are handmade in Maine, using material that was bound for the landfill. They are available in a variety of colors, and are just the right size for a welcome mat.

Remember, each door mat is unique, and has its own character, so it will not look like either of the mats show in the images above. You will not know the color or pattern until it arrives.
