I have had this a week and every day I check it, I have a mass worm exodus. They are racing out the top and getting out the crack between the lid. NONE of the dog feces has been reduced. It is just covered in mold. I have stirred the bedding today and saw less than 25 worms left of the 2,000 worms that I had a week ago :-( There were probably another hundred worms on the top of the box. Directions say it might take awhile for the worms to get used to it but I probably won’t have any left in a couple of days

i compost with worms and just started composting dog feces with worms. I use a rubbermaid container, but I would like something like this product with multi levels. I read that a review that said the worms escaped. There must have been something wrong with the environment, because if the worms are comfortable, they will stay forever! The bedding-I use newspaper strips-should be moist, the temperature should not be burning hot. In cold, the worms just stop moving. They can be kept warm with straw bales or put in the garage. Since I have been composting dog waste, I NEVER have ANY odor from the box! Also no bugs, flies, etc. I am writing this to encourage others to try composting dog waste and not to be discouraged by the first review. It is really easy.
