| | Growin' Green Granular Organic Fertilizer is a natural fertilizer derived from kelp meal, humate, pasteurized poultry manure, molasses, and greensand. It will quickly add color to your lawn and also continue to nourish over time. The natural ingredients will break down slowly when exposed to sunshine and rain, and they'll encourage continuous growth throughout the growing season. There are several different ingredients that complement each other to help your plants prosper. The ammonium content produces immediately noticeable results because it releases nitrogen quickly, while the calcium will help strengthen the cell structure of your plants over time (protecting them against sun damage, drought, and disease). You can add Granular Organic Fertilizer to grass clippings, leaves, and other lawn debris to encourage a quick breakdown of those nutrients back into the soil. It can alse be applied directly to lawns, flowers, trees, vegetable gardens, ornamental plants, or potted greenery. After applying the fertilizer, light irrigation with water or compost tea will help work the supplement into the soil. Avoid overwatering: excessive watering can wash away the insoluble components of the fertilizer and can pollute local streams and ponds. This green fertilizer has an NPK ratio of 4-2-3. That's 4 percent Nitrogen, 2 percent available Phosphate (205), and 3 percent soluble Potassium (K20). The Nitrogen percentages are as follows: 0.4% Amoniacal Nitrogen, 1.5% water soluble Nitrogen, 2% water insoluble Nitrogen. Other contents include 2% Calcium and 0.5% Magnesium. For lawns, we suggest you apply this at a distribution of 20 pounds per 1000 square feet. A fertilizer spreader is the easiest way to distribute this soil supplement over a large area. When you fertilize, be sure to get even coverage and watch out for indents in the ground that tend to gather excess fertilizer. Grasses use a large amount of nutrients and may need additional treatments. Organic fertilizer can be applied every spring, summer, and fall with minimal dangers of water pollution from runoff. For flowerbeds and vegetable gardens: Apply 30 pounds per 1000 square feet every other month. For wildflowers: Use 15 pounds per 1000 square feet at planting time and prior to budding. For Roses: Apply about 2 ounces (1/3 cup) per bush. This natural fertilizer is pasteurized, which reduces the smell and makes it stable to store for extended time periods.
