Poly-Wood is made from recycled high density polyethylene (HDPE), which is resistant to many different solvents, and salt water. It does not absorb water and therefore it cannot warp or crack. HDPE has a high tensile strength and can handle higher temperatures than many similar kinds of materials. Poly-Wood has the look and feel of wood, and you can even use woodworking tools with it.

It will also hold up to the effects of saltwater, chlorine and mildew, making it ideal for the poolside or the beach. The assembly is stainless steel hardware that has a protective Xylan coating.
