3 Foot Garden Soxx

3 Foot Garden Soxx planters are easy to install anywhere and require very little maintenance. These are a great way to start your own container garden or to add a bit of color to a windowsill, fence line, or walkway. They are 8 inches in diameter and 36 inches long.

Each garden sock holds up to 1.25 cubic feet of soil. Since this soil is separate from the ground, you can control the exact mix of organic materials and fertilizers. Using finished compost or other heat treated soil is an effective way to protect your plants from soil pathogens.

If you place the Soil Sock on the ground, the roots of your plants may work their way through the mesh. If the planters are elevated on a windowsill, ledge, or other location, then the roots will not grow out of the bag (this is called air pruning).

The mesh bag can be customized with as many or as few openings as you want - put in bulbs that sprout at all angles, or grow potatoes in an easy to harvest container. Just cut a slit in the mesh and slide in seedlings, sets, or seeds. The choices are limited only by your creativity!
