| | Do you have sensitive plants that need their own microclimate? Or are you allergic to the pollen from your favorite flowers? An elegant glass bell jar is the perfect solution to these problems. Bell Jars, or "cloches" were developed by French scientists in the 17th century. They used these jars to experiment with gas, research sound waves, and experiment with exotic plants. Over time, glass bell jars were adopted by a variety of gardeners for growing plants with special needs. Bell jars are just like miniature greenhouses. They can be used to maintain high (or low) humidity and grow plants in climates where they would normally not survive. Crystal bell jars also plants from cross pollination and insect predators. This bell jar is large enough for big plants or orchids. It is 15 inches tall and the base is 11.5 inches in diameter. There is a convenient molded knob at the top of the bell, so you can easily pick up and move the glass bell jar when necessary. It weighs only 6.5 lbs and is well balanced. Customers Also Purchased:
