  • Properly aerated soil is important for a healthy lawn, because roots have trouble penetrating highly compacted soil. This lawn aerator tool puts four, three inch spikes down into your soil, letting air and water down to the roots where they do the most good.

This simple tool reduces soil compaction, turf maintenance requirements, water runoff and puddling. It also improves turf grass rooting and air exchange between the soil and atmosphere.

To use the aerating tool, place your foot in the stirrup, press down, and then pull straight up.

Approximately a week to 10 days after aeration, you'll see the holes filled with actively growing roots. That means the grass is responding favorably to the moisture, nutrient and soil oxygen improvement. After a rainfall, there should be an immediate improvement in water puddling on compacted soils, as well as water runoff on slopes.

The extra durable steel construction lasts a lifetime.

    Dimensions: 37 inches x 10 inches x 1 inches

After just a weekend of fanatically poking holes around the lawn, I can already tell such a difference! The grass is growing better where growth was sparse before due to soil compaction. Very easy to use! Doesn’t take much effort to get the tines in the soil. The only downside: if you have lots of compacted areas, you will have to press the tool down many times within 1 sq. ft. to get the number of holes needed for a successful aeration.
