How to Install a Rain Barrel in Three Easy Steps.

Installing a rain barrel can be quick and easy. In this video, we take you through installing a rain barrel in just three easy steps:

Measure the height of the rain barrel and figure out where to make the cut on the downspout

Physically make the cut on the downspout

Place elbow back on the downspout so the water can fall into the rain barrel

In this video and with this particular rain barrel, Stve uses a pencil in order to make his mark on the downspout just above the max height of the rain barrel, which will allow the water to fall into the rain barrel with ease.

Then he takes a hacksaw and cuts the downspout on that line. After that, it's just a matter of reattaching the elbow back onto the downspout.

Presto! It's done, and you are well on your way to rainwater conservation!
