When harvesting vegetables, it's possible to make an awful mess. Onions, carrots, potatoes, and other veggies often have dirt stuck to them. Also, bugs can hitch a ride with tomatoes, strawberries, and cabbage.

Rather than bring dirt and bugs into your house, why not rinse your harvest off outside? With this mesh lined vegetable basket, you can do just that. The Maine Vegetable Hod is easy to carry, light weight, and durable. Inspired by tools used by New England clammers, this veggie hod incorporates a mesh screen with solid wood sides and a wooden handle.

This vegetable hopper is great for harvesting plants from a garden, carrying picnic supplies, or even carrying tools. The open mesh bottom allows dirt and moisture to pass through so that you can rinse off your harvest and carry it with you. The basket's contents have a chance to dry out and shed soil, but they wont fall out and get dirty again.
