This survival radio can be powered by the built-in hand crank, solar panel or the included AC/DC adapter. You can turn the crank in either direction to generate electricity, and the faster you crank, the more energy you create. Keep it fully charged by plugging it in overnight once every 3 months. Or, store it in a sunny spot and let the solar panel trickle charge the battery.

The flashlight on the radio works well as a nightlight or when finding your way through a dark room. But, for outdoor exploration, the included Sherpa Flashlight does a better job of illuminating the dark. With 7 ultra-bright LEDs and a reflector array, the Sherpa light makes it easy to avoid twisting an ankle. It has the same style of wind-up power generator and can be charged with the AC/DC adapter when you have access to a working plug. An indicator light even provides feedback about your charging speed.
