67 Gallon Round Wooden Rain Barrel

This Steampunk rain barrel is made from wood with stainless steel hoops for reinforcement and brass fittings. It contains a non-reactive plastic bladder that holds water and prevents leakage or wood rot. With a 67 gallon capacity, this barrel is both practical and beautiful.

This wooden rain barrel is better for the environment than plastic barrels. It is made from Canadian Spruce Wood, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. FSC Certified lumber is harvested using sustainable land management practices that preserve Boreal forests for future generations to enjoy.

This durable rain barrel is torrefied to make it more weather resistant. The wood has been heat treated in anaerobic conditions. Torrefaction changes the properties of wood so that it repels moisture and is less attractive to termites. This environmentally friendly treatment that involves no chemicals or toxins.

The cylindrical rain barrel offers a large capacity with minimal surface area. It measures 25 inches in diameter and is 41 inches tall. It also comes with a rain water diverter that can be attached to a downspout or the overflow valve on another barrel.

Rainbarrel maintenance
It's important to drain and clean rain barrels about once a year. Draining your barrel in late fall is a great way to protect against freeze damage and to remove leaves or debris that have washed into the barrel. This barrel has no leaf filter, but you can install mosquito netting on the diverter to keep most debris out.

Using rain water
Plants love untreated water, and it can be used on the lawn, the garden, and many other places around the house. It's great for washing pets, cleaning tools, and cooling down on a hot day. Any time that you need water without chemicals, rain water is a sustainable choice. Please note - rainwater is not safe for people or pets to drink.

This rain barrel is fitted with a brass spigot. Turn the knob, and gravity will pull water out for use. The spigot has threads for a garden hose, or can be used directly for filling buckets and watering cans.
