Dry Molasses Fertilizer and Ant Repellent

Molasses is great for repelling ants and fertilizing your yard at the same time. It's a non-toxic alternative that is gentle on your soil and doesn't harm pets or small children.

This Dry Molasses is easy to apply without making a mess. It spreads much easier than wet molasses (where most of the weight is water anyway). Dry molasses also contains other additives - it's bonded to dried grains to get the right texture and provide additional nutrients.

Dried molasses ant repellent is an excellent carbon source that stimulates beneficial microorganisms. The sweet syrup in Molasses is released with rain water or irrigation, and provides carbon, sulfur, potash, and many trace minerals to your lawn. Molasses also provides food for microorganisms. It is a good, quick source of energy for the soil life and microbes in a compost pile, and will chase fire ants away while accelerating the breakdown of compost. It is a carbon source and feeds beneficial microbes creating greater natural fertility.

How much to use:
Apply 1/2 to 1 pound of dry molasses per 100 sq ft. This dry molasses blend can also be mixed with other organic liquids. Use 2-4 quarts per acre for soil application.

To kill ants, add this mix and some orange oil to compost tea. The combination attracts and kills insect pests. By itself, molasses repels fire ants effectively.
