One key element to a luscious, green lawn is having good soil that allows the grass roots to get the right amount of air and nutrients they need.
This manual coring aerator does just that, and you get to see the proof as you work. With
five spring loaded hollow tines, this aerator actually pulls out plugs of soil. The plugs are generally about 2-3 inches long. The holes in the soil that are left behind create reservoirs for water and open spaces for oxygen,
allowing your grass to become healtier.
Why aerate your lawn?
Over time, soil gets compacted whether spend a lot of time on your lawn or not, and this restricts the grass roots from getting the oxygen and moisture they need to flourish. By creating several small holes throughout your lawn, this creates optimum growing conditions for your grass.
This manual coring aerator is
simple to use. Just by stepping on the foot bar, the hollow tines are shoved into the soil and the plugs are inserted into the tines. Because the tines are hollow, the next time you insert the aerator into the soil, the next plugs push the previous ones into the collection tray. The springs keep the aerator popping back out of the soil every time.
Note: If your lawn is too hard, this aerator cannot work at its optimum level. If you think your lawn may be too hard, learn about
