Like many birds, chickadees are very particular about where they nest, and this hand made chickadee bird house is sure to please any little chickadee. The size, shape, and dimensions of this handcrafted bird house are to the specifications of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The nesting floor of the Chickadee Nest Box measures 4 inches x 4 inches. The 1 1/8 inch diameter entrance hole is 6 inches above the nesting floor and has a predator guard for extra protection.

The roof of the 10 1/2 inches tall box is sloped and ventilated. The box measures 12 inches by 8 inches by 7 inches on the outside.

Grooves cut into the inside of the front panel make it easier for the young birds to get out of the box. That same front panel swings open, making this nest box easy to clean. The cedar used in construction is weather-resistant, which means it will last a long time.

PLEASE NOTE: Because each bird house is made individually, by hand, please allow up to 2-3 weeks for your birdhouse to arrive.
