Keeping a compost pail right next to the kitchen sink is a good way to make sure that you always keep things to compost and don't simply throw them out because it's too inconvenient to make a special trip to the composter outside.

You can wash this attractive ceramic crock out in the sink, or run it through the dishwasher to clean it.

Beautiful and easy to clean. No clean-up when use the BioBags liners. A wonderful addition to my counter. Perfect size! Not to big not to small. Great for the composter who is retraining the family!

This is a good compost bucket in general, but we do have some complaints. The knob on top is not easy to hang on to- especially if your ands are wet or slimy, as they often are while clearing plates. And the metal handle comes off really easily- when you’re least expecting it to. First the lid slipped out of my husand’s hand onto the counter and broke. Then the whole buckt fell and broke because the metal handle disengaged when he went to lift it. We got another one. The lid to this one lasted 2 months before jumping out of my hands and breaking. Also it holds less than it look like since the walls are relatively thick.
Other than those complaints it looks nice on the counter and really does have no odor as long as it’s closed. Just be really careful with it if you buy it. As for me... I’m just about to buy a stainless steel replacement!
