This item is no longer available. The best way to kill thorny plants, poison ivy, and other unwanted brush is to
pull plants out by the roots. This tool makes it easy to do just that, without scratching up your hands or irritating your skin.
The handy Brush Grubber makes short work of unwanted weeds and invasive vines. It has spring operated jaws and a roomy D-shaped grip. The gripping surfaces include 10 non slip teeth per pad, and the grip pads can be rotated completely around (360° range of motion).
This tiny tool is easy to carry around, and it is very powerful for its size (sort of like a midget wrestling champion). The gripping teeth can grab roots, stumps, bushes, and other brush up to 1 inch in diameter. With the shovel handle, this tool provides some serious leverage to pull plants out of the ground.
The spring on the jaws require strong fingers to use. It requires a bit more hand strength to use than a stapler, but less than a hand exercise tool. It is
not recommended if you have arthritis or a weak grip.
The EZ Brush Grubber works well on bamboo, buckthorn, prickly ash, multiflora rose, thorny olive, privet and other invasive saplings. Many of these plants will grow back if you cut them down with an edger or a mower, but pulling out the roots will finish them off. Manual pulling of these unwanted plants is an earthy friendly alternative to using herbicides.
