As urban development continues to destroy the natural nesting spots of bluebirds, bluebird nest boxes are providing valuable alternative housing. In fact, bluebird nest boxes are contributing to the revival of these brilliantly colored birds. As with all good nest boxes, this one is designed specifically for bluebirds.

This handmade Bluebird Nest Box measures 14 inches by 9 inches by 8 inches on the exterior. The nesting floor is 5-inch square, with a 1 1/2 inch entrance hole 8 inches above the floor. The box is 12 1/2 inches tall and has a sloped and ventilated roof.

Grooves cut into the wood make it easy for young birds to go in and out. The front panel swings open, which makes it easy to clean the box after each brood has left. Made from rot-resistant cedar, these nest boxes are built to last. The rough side of the cedar faces out, giving a rustic look that resembles the birds’ natural nesting sites.

PLEASE NOTE: Because each bird house is made individually, by hand, please allow up to 2-3 weeks for your birdhouse to arrive.
