This shower head uses less water than any other water saving shower head
The 0.50 GPM shower head
is the ultimate water saving tool. It uses only 20 percent as much water as other "low-flow" showerheads, and it doesn't sacrifice pressure or comfort. Enjoy a high pressure shower and save water at the same time.
There are a lot of low-flow shower heads that help save water and cut your water heating bill. Some models use 2.5 gallons of water per minute (GPM) or even 1.5 GPM, but the Ultimate Low Flow Shower head has them beat - it delivers the same great shower feel while using only half a gallon of water per minute.
The Ultimate low flow showerhead creates an oscillating spiral of water that spins quickly to cover a wide area. This spinning water creates a pattern that your nerves will swear is a constant spray, but it creates this effect without wasting water. The spiral rotates faster than the eye can see (up to 1500 rpm at high pressure) and delivers evenly distributed wetting. The water spray is very powerful and creates a tingly feel similar to massaging shower heads.
The Ultimate Low Flow Shower Head has a gold body with a black adjuster sleeve. The sleeve controls the width of the spiral - it can be set from narrow to wide aperture. At the widest setting, there is a gap in the center of the spray pattern. This gap comes in useful if you are using hair dye, have a sunburn, or simply want to keep part of your body dry while taking a shower.
This water saving shower head is proudly made in the USA
. It is composed of anodized aluminum, brass, chrome plated brass, 100 percent silicone, and recycled polypropylene plastic.
Even if you fall asleep in the bathtub, an hour-long shower with the Ultimate Half Gallon Per Minute Shower head will use only 30 gallons of water.
The amount of water that any shower head uses depends on the pressure of water flowing through the nozzles. This ultra low flow showerhead uses roughly half a gallon of water per minute at 60-80 pounds per square inch. The average pressure in a city water system is 60-80 PSI. For comparison's sake, here are the exact water flow rates at various pressures:0.40 GPM at 40 PSI
0.49 GPM at 60 PSI
0.57 GPM at 80 PSIAn important note for customers living off the grid
If you rely on well water, it's important that you set the well pump to cut on at 65 PSI and to cut off at 80 PSI. If you don't know how to adjust your well controller, please call a professional plumber before purchasing this shower head and make sure that your well is compatible.
