When you go outside in your yard to garden, have a barbeque or just enjoy the warm sunshine, the last thing you need to worry about it being attacked by mosquitoes. Some people are not as affected by mosquitoes as others, but for the ones who claim they are "being eaten alive," being outside where mosquitoes are can be miserable, forcing them to stay indoors on beautiful days.

The Alpha mosquito trap helps significantly reduce your mosquito population, making the outdoors more enjoyable for everyone. The Alpha mosquito trap is a smaller mosquito trap than the Premier and Ultra mosquito traps, but it has a coverage of up to one half of an acre, a good size for smaller back yards and gardens. It is best used in a covered area, like on a porch.

It attracts mosquitoes, Asian Tiger mosquitoes (known for being carriers of the West Nile Virus), biting midges (no-see-ums), black flies and sand flies.

This mosquito trap uses no dangerous, flammable liquids like propane, but instead, its design features exploit the mosquitoes sensory signals such as light, color, heat movement and odor to attract the pesky insects.

It is constructed from resilient and weatherproof ABS and comes with dual installation features for the optional Octenol lures, an artificial component of human perspiration.

There is no assembly required. When you receive your Alpha mosquito trap, simply take it out of the box, plug it in and go! This mosquito trap attracts mosquitoes from up to 90 feet away. Use it indoors or outdoors.

How the Alpha Mosquito Trap works:

The Alpha Mosquito Trap can attract mosquitoes from as far away as 90 feet using a sophisticated LED display array, which pulses light in the visible and invisible spectrum at oscillating frequencies known to attract most mosquito species.

Mosquitoes also navigate to the the source of the air plume enriched with Octenol, a synthetic component of human perspiration, which emanates from the base of the trap. This requires the use of Mega-catch Octenol Fragrance Strips which are an accessory item, and are sold separately Octenol fragrance lure strips.

The color, shape and vibration of the trap excite the mosquitoes to begin probing. Finally internal infra red heat sources cause the mosquitoes to enter the trap where they are swept thru a fan and into a catch bag where they die.
