The 86 Gallon Trickle Rainbarrel incorporates an underground watering pipe. This gravity fed system requires no oversight, and can keep your lawn, flowers, trees, and vegetables healthy for an extended period even when you're out of town.

The trickle rain barrel is made from recycled plastic and is very durable. It has a 5 year manufacturer's warranty and is UV stabilized to prevent degradation in sunlight. The child safe lid also includes a screen to keep insects and leaves out of the water.

The 86 gallon recycled rainbarrel has 3 outlets.

The main outlet is connected to an end-capped irrigation pipe that should be buried 8-12 inches underground. Included are two 10-foot sections of tubing and steel attachment clips. This buried drain pipe has a series of holes in it and it works like a soaker hose. The piping supplies water right at the roots of your plants, with far less moisture lost to evaporation or runoff.

There's also a brass spigot located at the mid level of the barrel and an overflow valve at the top. The spigot is well placed for filling water buckets or watering cans. The overflow release kicks in when the barrel is full - it allows water to spill out of the top instead of causing the barrel to burst.

For extra capacity, the overflow can be hooked up to other rain barrels. Linking overflow valves to the inlets of other rain barrels allows you to expand the reservoir to any size. A linked system saves on money because there's only a need for one downspout or downspout redirector.
